| Gyanodaya began with a dream three decades and two years ago. And this dream was interwoven with a vision to educate the young minds of Nepal and set the nation on the road to progress. This vision translated into reality when Mrs. Indira Yakthumba, overcoming a personal tragedy of losing her beloved husband and demonstrating great courage and fortitude, founded this institution on 12 Falgun 2031 B.S. corresponding to the 24th day of February 1975 in the English calendar to honour the memory of her dear departed husband His Excellency Late Gyan Bahadur Yakthumba. As with all things in the beginning, Gyanodaya too had a modest start as Gyanodaya Bal Batika Pre-Primary School. |
