This was established in 1998 as an affiliate of the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. It currently runs a three-year management programme leading to a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies (BBS). While focusing on further consolidation of the quality of its existing graduate program in management, Gyanodaya College, in the near future, envisages adding a few more graduate programs in other disciplines as well, before venturing to embark upon Master’s level programs in Management, Science, Information Technology and other emerging allied disciplines.

| As we usher into the second year of the new millennium,
the managerial work place becomes even more challenging and competitive.
The explosion in demand for business and management related qualifications
reflect a need for study, which combines academic rigor with practical
relevance. Managing within organizations is both an art and a science.
It involves not only the application of practical skills and professional
& technical knowledge of management disciplines, but also communication
skills, informed insight and frequently an understanding of other
cultures too.
Reflecting this view, Gyanodaya adopts an approach to management teaching which is designed to promote academic achievement as well as developing the potential for future managerial excellence. The College which derives its affiliation from the prestigious Tribhuvan University shares the University’s commitment to academic excellence in management teaching, to providing rewarding learning experiences for the students and to producing graduates capable of high personal and professional achievement. BBS is a three-year Bachelor's level management programme. The
course provides a general and broad based understanding of business
management and offers the opportunity to concentrate and specialize
in one's chosen area of interest. The BBS programme requires the
students to study a total of 14 courses, each graded for 100 marks.
The curriculum consists of the following four separate and distinct
components: compulsory courses, core courses, concentration
area and elective courses. |
